Dr. Murad’s combination of 5 powerful acids—salicylic acid combined with lysophosphatidic acid, hydroxydecanoic acid, sebacic acid and glycolic acid—help clear skin and prevent future breakouts.
• Salicylic acid
Salicylic acid reduces the severity of acne, helps keep skin clear by preventing formation of new acne and allows skin to heal.
• Hydroxydecanoic acid and sebacic acid
Commonly found in royal jelly, these two ingredients are fatty acids with purifying properties. Clinical testing has shown that these ingredients can reduce sebum and are fast-acting sebum regulators.
• Lysophosphatidic acid
Lysophosphatidic acid, bio-molecule derived from soy beans, helps reduce the appearance of pores.
• Glycolic acid
Glycolic acid is a high purity, low molecular weight alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) derived from sugar cane that helps skin renew and helps rid the skin’s surface of cellular debris to keep pores clear.
Honey extract, boswellia extract and rice extract
These three extracts combined have soothing and hydrating benefits that help counteract dryness and redness.
